Christmas Round 2

Well our 2nd Christmas party was on Thursday night at my folks house. We had both my mom and dads folks over along with uncles, nieces, and my brother. So needless to say it was a full house. Campbell decided to get the party started off with a drink. What makes this even better is that there was actually some red punch in this cup and of course it went all over her pretty white shirt, Merry Christmas mama!

Now, this picture does not do justice to the actual magnitude of toys that was piled on this table and the surrounding floor. My brother has 3 boys and let me just say that if Santa never came to their house they would have been just fine. It was crazy the amount of toys these children got and it was no thanks to my mother of course. Poor lady had her hip replacement and discovered online shopping, need I say more!

Miss Bailey always striking a pose for the camera.

Miss Campbell lost in a sea of presents. By the way we got 3 different pillow pets for Christmas, we almost have the entire collection, yeah!

Christmas Round One

We went to our first Christmas party the Saturday before Christmas. Tim's family has a big get together every year and we eat and play dirty Santa, its allot of fun. So here are some pics from that night. Above is Campbell in her favorite car. As I have said before this our new stroller and it is a life saver.

Bailey and her cousin Preston, they are 3 weeks apart in age, they are 2 peas in a pod, or better yet double trouble.

The girls and Timmy with his grandma, Grandma Cross.

Timmy's dad, Papa Melton, with our cousin Noah. He and Preston are brothers in case you couldn't see the resemblance. I love love his eyes and he is just a wonderful baby.

Christmas Decor

We'll I promised pic's of our Christmas decor and here there are.  I will admit I did not do as much as I usually do just because I had 2 extra sets of hands that were always trying to help and it just became a bit much so here's what we got.  The picture above is our family tree it has all our sentimental ornaments and ones that Bailey has made thus far.  Here are a few of my favorites.

This yellow snowflake was made by Bailey last year in preschool it is very sparkly, we also have it in blue.

Campbell has made her addition this year as well.  My mom got her some Campbell soup ornaments, very cute.

Of course we have a softball player, I bought this in Branson a few years ago.

This is a reindeer Bailey made when she was 3 at preschool, love those eyelashes.

Our entry way with garland, there is no rhyme or reason to how I do this, I just put up the garland and start stuffing it with pix's, ribbon and ornaments.

Our big tree in our living room, I hope the wrapping elves are coming to our house soon :)

And finally we have the mantle with the kids stockings.  Santa NEVER puts anything in mine anymore, so I figure whats the point of putting it out.  Maybe I should move back home again?

Christmas Party

Bailey had her school Christmas party today. As a homeroom mom it was my duty to help with the festivties, so Campbell and I handed out snacks and helped kids make snow globes, great fun. Campbell loved watching all the kids, but she stayed strapped down in her car, which we basically use instead of a stroller now. Now the real fun begins, 2 kids at home all to myself for the next to weeks, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Going Bananas!

Thank God above, Campbell has found another food that she likes, BANANAS. Now we have somewhat worked into this I will admit. I have tried feeding her bananas for sometime now. We have mashed, cut, given big chunks, but nothing has worked.

Then one day as I was eating a banana Campbell started to pointing at the banana, so I gave her a bite. So the trick i have found is to give her the whole banana in the peel and she will eat the whole thing, amazing!!

So her she is in all her banananis, taking big bites and watching cartoons. Too Cute!

Oh Raspberry!!!

I must say that I am quite proud of Campbell she has really broken out of her shell lately and started to get allot more adventurous with her food. She loves popcorn chicken and tonight I actually got her to eat some noodles, I know, were making some major progress. So she got very crazy the other day and tried a raspberry. She played with it and looked at it and then she put it in her mouth and...

She made this face. Now, the reason that I am very proud of her is that she immediately spit it out, looked at it, and then put it in her mouth again and again. I know I know I am getting excited just thinking about it. If you all only knew my battle with this child and food you would feel my excitement to.

Our Weekend

We've been very busy lately at the Melton household, here are some pics from the weekend. Campbell LOVES the pottery barn chair that Bailey got for Christmas last year. She sits in it, she bounces in it, she will even sit and watch cartoons in it. So it is one more thing that has been added to my living room along with all the other toys, furniture, and giant Christmas tree, yeah!

Knock on wood, but Campbell has honestly had nothing to do with our Christmas trees. She was however fascinated with the lights the other day. She would hold them in her hand and just look at them, very cute, but then she was on her way and has had nothing to do with them since.

She does however enjoy playing in drawers. She discovered some gift bags the other day and looked like she was ready to go shopping. She would take the bag and fling it over her should and scoot off with her pirate crawl. As you can see in the picture her right leg is extended out and her left leg is doing a regular crawl and there is a blue bag thrown over her shoulder, this girls a hoot.

On Sunday evening Bailey sang in a Christmas choir performance at church, along with her other activities she has now joined the kids choir at church, she loves to stay busy. This was the best shot I got of her all night. She was walking past us to go onto stage. She is wearing a white choir gown, my little angel.

O Christmas Tree

Well we finally got all our Christmas decor up, it took about 4 days because I had 2 children that felt the need to go thru everything I had so I finally said enough is enough and if it ain't up it ain't going up this year. But everything turned out great and here is a look at our main tree, yes we have two. We have a tree in our front window which is the fun tree for the kids, its where I put all the sentimental ornaments and kids themed things. I will do another post soon with that tree on it. Our main tree is our fancy tree with all the fancy ornaments and such. Above is Mister Melton hanging some extra lights on our pre-lit tree, ha.

So here is the tree in its naked form, I then go in and add things such as ribbon, faux flowers, and the secret touch is floral pix's. You know at Hobby Lobby how they have that isle with all those different pix's, well these work great in your tree they will really help fill in gaps and make your tree look very full and lush. I have allot of large woody evergreen pixs that I put in along with frosted fruits and berries.

Here is a close up of all the stuff that I have filled in, after all of this I add any ornaments that I want.

And here is the final product. I have so much ribbon and pixs that my tree never looks the same but to me that's part of the fun. I have not put much at the bottom of the tree this year, but surprisingly Campbell has not touched any of the tress at all. She hasn't tried to pull ornaments off which really amazes me. Well I will show you the rest of the house soon, see ya all.

14 Months Old

On November 28, 2010 Campbell turned 14 months old. She is growing into such a beautiful little lady. She has a very sweet demeanor about her and she is a very happy girl. She is very picky when it comes to food. She does not like the texture of fruits and veggies but she loves her carbs. She has taken a liking to sausage which is very surprising, but at this point whatever I can get her to eat will work.
She is saying many words such as mama, dada, sissy, and her latest are uh oh and ouch, its the cutest thing ever. She has quite the personality and she loves to laugh and clap. She loves to go into her sisters room and tear it apart. One of her favorite things is Bailey's pottery barn chair, she loves to sit in it and bounce around and play.

She has been a big help decorating the tree this year. She loves pulling out all the ornaments and putting them in her mouth. She has taken a few steps but 98% of her traveling is done with her pirate crawl, but this mommies not pushing anything, I'll keep her a baby as long as I can.
