My First Halloween

Happy Halloween

On Thursday night Tim's work, Joe Marina Honda, had a Halloween party. Radio station 96.5 comes out and they give away candy, pizza, and pumpkins and they also have a costume contest. Which is some good money ranging from $25-$100. So I took the kids up and Bailey had a blast. I threw together a last minute costume of Cinderella, and would you believe that she ended up winning 2nd place, which was $50, awesome. But she has decided that she needs a costume change, and believe me when I say she thought this up on her own. She told me that she wants to be a doctor, but not just any doctor, she wants to be a baby doctor. She told me she wants to dress like a doctor and carry around her baby, genius. As for Campbell she looks so stinkin cute, but I'm not quite sure what she is. Its either a leopard or a cheetah, but she looks so cute with her little ears and tail. I got this costume at my baby shower so we went with it. So this is just a preview I will have more pictures after the main event tomorrow. Happy Halloween everybody.

4 Weeks Old

I can't believe that it has been 4 weeks since my little angel came into the world, time is flying by. Campbell is opening her eyes and staying awake more and more, but sleeping is still her favorite past time. She has been kinda cranky the last few days but I think that is all do to a growth spurt I have been told usually happens around 4-6 weeks of age. It is amazing to see the differences in 2 children. Bailey loved to swing, Campbell not so much. Bailey liked the baby papasan seat that didn't bounce, Campbell likes the big bouncy seat that bounces and hates the baby papasan. Campbell loves to be held and is quite the snuggler, we call her snuggle bug. Other than that all is good. I am trying to adjust to my new life of 2 children and I am slowly getting there. I have learned that it takes not twice as long to get things done, but 3 times as long. And when you've had scattered bits of sleep dealing with anything is just plain difficult. But on a happy note we did get more pictures done of the girls. Betsy came to our house and did an awesome job with newborn pictures so everyone please check them out. betsygregoryphotography.com, enter the site and go to sign in- enter twomeltons@aim.com and the password is bailey.

Check Out The Hair

So we got our first official bath on Monday since our umbilical cord feel off Sunday night. So we got our bath, combed hair and got dressed. But I noticed that no matter what I combed her hair with it just wouldn't sit down. So I tried to wet it down again but that didn't do any good either, so for a day or 2 we had some pretty crazy hair. I dont know if it had something to do with the weather, because it hasn't done it since. But enjoy these funny photos, they crack me up.

2 Weeks Old

On Monday Campbell was 2 weeks old, its amazing how time flies by. We are doing very well, she has been an amazing baby. We pretty much eat, sleep, and poop, as the saying goes. We do still have days and nights mixed up but that's to be expected. We have good nights and bad nights, but overall we are doing very well. I remember with Bailey having to sleep during the day anytime I could, but that luxury is out the door now that Bailey is 4. We went to our 2 week doctor appointment and we got an At from the doctor, and Campbell weighed 9lbs 8ozs, so she is eating well.

Campbells First Week

Here are some more pictures of Campbell. She and Bailey are doing great. Bailey is sharing all her stuffed animals with her little sister. Campbell also loves her daddy and vice versa. He decided to stay home a few extra days this week, he just doesn't want to miss anything, its so sweet. She pretty much eats and sleeps but when she opens those beautiful blue eyes mommy is waiting there with the camera.

Campbell's First Days

Campbell is officially one week old today. It is so hard to believe that time is flying by. We have had a pretty easy week. Campbell has been a wonderful baby so far and I am so blessed to have her. It's amazing how I wondered how I could handle two girls, but now I cant imagine not having them here, life is wonderful. So I have taken a million pictures everyday and here are a few of my favorites. It's amazing to see how she changes everyday. Bailey is doing awesome she loves her little sister and she is always ready to help.

I will sing to you a lullaby

This is the sweetest thing that I have ever seen. Bailey loves to sing to Campbell and what makes it so cute is that she makes up her own lullaby's. She will sing and sing and Campbell has really responded to it. When I am changing her diaper and she is fussy Bailey will start singing and Campbell always stops and looks at her and quits crying, its amazing how they have already bonded with one another.

Hospital Pic's

We took so many pictures that I cant decide what to post so here are some random things. I just found myself taking her picture over and over no matter what she was doing. Bailey is in love with her sister and loves holding and singing to her. I have a video that I will post of her singing to Campbell. She came back from the nursery one time and the nurses said that a girl with that much hair should have a bow, so they had given her one and it looked so cute. By Wednesday I was ready to go home, and once I was cleared we were off. I wasn't sure how she would do with the car seat, but she loved it. She looked so comfortable and she never made a peep. Now that we are home things are going great. She is a wonderful, calm baby. She cries to eat and that is about it. She loves to be held and she is spoiled rotten when it comes to that, her daddy cant put her down. Its funny how he was so dramatic about having a house full of girls, and here I am asking to hold my daughter because my husband wont let her go.

Campbell Avery Melton

Monday was a very big day for all of us, it's Campbell's birthday. She came into the world at 8:15 am weighing 9lbs 1.7oz's and 20.5 inches long. She is doing very well and is as beautiful as can be. We came home yesterday and last night was my first very long sleepless night. She is a wonderful calm baby, but she loves to be held, even when she is asleep. But I am loving every minute of it. I have tons of pictures to share so will start with these, the actual birth. They allowed Tim to have cameras in the room so we have great pictures.
