Happy Valentine's Day

I was so excited to look in the mail today and see that our Valentine's photo session cd had arrived . A friend of mine at church named Julie Dawkins did these for us, Julie Dawkins Photography. I have known Julie since high school where we were in our church's youth group together. She has taken up photography as a hobby and I think that she is awesome. I thought that before but now I really know its true after having a session with her. Bailey had a basketball game in Bartlesville earlier in the day so at this point Campbell had not had a nap and was not a happy camper. She would not have her picture taken by herself and I honestly believed that I would have no shots of her. Bailey on the other hand was a picture taking princess. She wanted to do every pose that she could think of and then some.

It was worth everything just to have these two pictures taken. These are the best pictures that I have of the girls together, love them!
I got their outfits made from Bergaboo. These two ladies make them in jenks and I just loved them. I had Christmas shirts made with reindeers and then new ones for Valentines day. The skirts match both outfits so I can interchange them. I was so happy with them and think they are just to cute.

These two girls really do love each other so much and get along so well.

Can you believe this girl is 7 years old?

Bailey's basketball team is first in their league and so we will playing in a basketball tournament on Valentine's evening, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Tim and I will be helping out with Bailey's Valentine party at school as well, so that should be a fun time. We will be together as a family and that is the most important thing. Happy Valentine's day y'all, we love ya!

January 2012

We have had quite the month in January. I have been out of it most of the month after my surgery, but I am happy to say that things are going great. I am using a cane to walk and have finally started driving here and there. I do spend most of my time at home but I am getting so much done that it will be hard to go back to work next week. Bailey has been playing basketball and her team is first in their league. She has also started learning to pitch for softball. Her coach decided that they would be moving up in the league and play 8 and under, which is kid pitch. It's hard to believe that she is at this level already, but were here and she is so excited to learn. I have started teaching her all that I know and she is doing great. I will also be helping to coach her team this year so I am very excited about that.

Campbell is growing and growing, she is amazing. She has such a sweet way about her. She has taken to scarves in the last few weeks and you can find her either dragging them around the house or wrapping herself in them in some way shape or form. She decided the other day that she would get some wrapping paper out and wrap herself as a present, it was so cute! She kept saying, "I ah present mama, I ah present." We are still obsessed with the movie Tangled in our house. Tim and I both have it memorized now. Campbell loves to sing the songs in the movies as well as dance to them.

The other night I had made Campbell dinner. I was still in the kitchen cooking, when I realized that she had gotten really quite all of a sudden. When I looked over there she was, asleep! She was sitting up at the bar on the bar stool and just feel asleep. It was the cutest thing EVER! I grabbed my camera real quick and got these pics, aren't they cute!

We will have a busy weekend with a basketball game in Bartlesville and then we'll hurry home to take some Valentine's Day pictures. My friend Julie at church is taking them, cant wait to post them!

Happy 7th Birthday Bailey

On December 28th, 2011 Bailey turned 7 years old. I cannot believe how the years have flown by and my first baby is already 7. She is becoming such a wonderful, confident, beautiful young lady that I am so proud of. She is such a sweet and thoughtful girl who is always making gifts or drawings to give to others. She loves drawing and crafts and is quite impressive with her talents. She also loves to play softball and basketball and has recently decided that she wants to be a softball pitcher just like her mama, yeah! Bailey is also very active in her church where she is in the choir and a childrens group called Awanas. She is in the first grade this year and is doing great. She is quite the speller who gets 100's on all of her spelling tests, and she loves to read books. She is a great student and she loves to go to school to see her friends and her teacher Mrs. Caussy.

This year we changed things up for Bailey's birthday. With her birthday being on the 28th it is always very hard to find time to have a birthday party with the holidays. This year we had a whole birthday fun day. I gave Bailey $100 to spend in anyway that she wanted at the mall, and she thought this was crazy cool. After breakfast we headed to the mall and enjoyed hours of shopping. We headed to Build a Bear first where Bailey created a puppy named Sparkle. After our shopping we went to Bailey's favorite place to eat Pei Wei, yes she loves chinese food. Both Grandma B and Grandma and Grandpa Melton were able to join us for lunch as well.

After lunch we headed to the movies to watch Shipwrecked, aka the Chipmunks. After this long day we headed home to prepare for a new adventure the next day, mommy's hip replacement. We actually had our birthday day on the 27th since I was going into surgery on her birthday, but I still had a big day for her planned. We arrived at the hospital the next morning and surprised Bailey with a Nintendo DS that she has wanted for the longest time. Later in the evening I had balloons and cupcakes delivered to my room so we could have a little party for her on her actual birthday. She was extremely surprised and kept telling me that this was the best birthday ever, which made me feel better since I was lying in a hospital bed. I of course have no pictures since I was not in charge of the camera, but knowing my Bailey she will not forget this birthday anytime soon. Happy Birthday baby girl I love you so much, I am such a lucky mommy to have a daughter like you!

Perfect

Yes, there is no doubt about it she is the perfect little girl. I know all mama's say that about there kids, and they should. Some say that toddlers are a handful, but I love this age. You really start to see their personality coming out and they are so sweet and polite. I just love my little Cami, she is just a doll. I have always said that I can never get a good picture of her, well finally here it is. This is the sweet face that I get to look at everyday.

She loves being a helper right now and she did a great job helping to decorate the tree.

I have realized that I have been MIA in the blog world for over 2 months so I am trying to get back on the bandwagon. It is always just crazy around here. I do have some news to share, and no I am not pregnant. On December 28th I will be having a hip replacement done on my right hip. This stems from my hip dislocating when I was 13. I have been living with ALOT of pain over the past few years due to severe arthritis, bone on bone, and bone spurs in my hip. I went in for another opinion and was told that my hip was starting to shift out of socket, again. So I decided that I needed to suck it up and have it done. It will be a rocky road for several weeks, but the alternative I am living is not any better. I cant even take walks right now without being in severe pain, so exercise has been out of the question for sometime and that is starting to show its affects as well. So right now I am focusing on my goal of being able to walk for exercise again and just being pain free on a daily basis. So keep Timmy in your prayers as we go on our "experience" at the end of the month, he will be taking on several different roles all at once. I wont even be able to bend over for a few weeks, darn I can't clean house, ha!

Thanksgiving 2011

We'll another Thanksgiving has come and gone, and it was a great one in our neck of the woods. We had a long day, but a very fun day. We started by heading down to Okmulgee early Thanksgiving morning so we could help my wonderful grandma cook Thanksgiving lunch. I have to admit I am terrible at getting family pics, Tim and Bailey only wanted to do funny pictures so this is the best of what I got. Bailey has discovered her hidden talent of crossing her eyes, I'm so proad, ha!

Campbell had a good time checking out everything in the garage, her favorite item was the riding lawn mower.

Me and my girl.

My grandma Pat got Campbell these boots for her birthday and she is obsessed with them. They are a bit big and it is kind of hard for her to walk in them, but that does not stop her one bit. She calls the, "my boots."

Hard to believe she will be 7 years old in a very short month.

After an afternoon in Okmulgee we headed to Bristow for Thanksgiving dinner. Grandma Melton has ponies the kids can ride, ponies on a stick that is. Cami had a good time galloping around the house.

After dinner we sat around the table so the kids could tell us all the things they want for Christmas. You might as well put a circle around the Toys R Us catalogue because they want everything in it, ha!

Bailey and Preston, cousins.

Campbell and Grandma Melton.

Such a pretty girl, I am so thankful for her!

Happy Birthday Ramsey!

We spent a gorgeous Sunday afternoon with our neighbors and good friends, the Hurt family. Their daughter Ramsey turned 2 years old. She and Campbell are only five short days apart and they are super BFF's. Over the past few months Campbell has really come to realize her friends across the street and is always asking to go play with "Amsey" and "Addison". So we had so much fun today at their Sesame Street party, it was a huge hit with the kiddos. Mama Megan is super crafty and they made so many cute things for the party, including the cupcakes and toppers.

Campbell was loving her cupcake.

Bailey enjoyed pulling the birthday girl around the yard in her chariot.

We are definitely going to have to get with it and invest in a swing set. Ramsey has a super awesome one and Campbell had such a blast playing on it, she especially loved to swing. So if anyone is wondering what to get Cami for her birthday a swing set would be the perfect gift. ;)

As I said Megan is super crafty. She and her husband cut out this super cute Elmo and painted it. I tried to get Campbell to stand next to it to take her picture, but all she did was stand and look at it. I don't think she knew what to make of it.

Well of course Miss Bailey had a blast at the party. She loves a good party or any excuse to eat cake, wonder where she gets that from?

And once again her is the famous Elmo. I am quite curious to know what Miss Megan will be doing with this Elmo now that the party is over?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAMSEY!

Labor Day & Princess

Well we didn't do much on Labor Day this year. We went outside for awhile and then did somethings around the house, a pretty boring day basically. Campbell has discovered something new, princesses. She loves princesses of any kind. She has a Disney princesses doll that is the size of her that she carries around the house and dances with.

She loves to twirl around and around with it and it is so sweet. She loves to watch the movie Tangled and I think that is where it all began. We had planned on a Mickey Mouse party but we may have to re-think the whole thing.

Basically from now on when you see pictures of Campbell she will look like cousin It. She has started this other new thing where she wants nothing in her hair. She walks around with hair covering her face and it drives me crazy. I hope to somehow fix this soon.

Many of you may not know that we had a new addition to our family a few months ago, his name is Charlie. He is now 7 months old and driving me completely INSANE! He chews, digs, whines and jumps. I know that he is a puppy and I am hoping that I can make it thru this phase without killing him. Shelby on the other hand is madly in love with him and has a nervous break down if he leaves the yard for any reason. We got Charlie to help Shelby shed some pounds and regain her confidence, which she has done both. I snapped this picture of him today to remind myself that he is so cute and I just need to wait it out, so far its not working,ha!
