Meet The Teacher-1st Grade

On Tuesday August 23rd 2011 we went to Spring Creek for Baileys meet the teacher night. Her teacher for 1st grade is Mrs. Caussey and she has been teaching at Spring Creek for 19 years. She is a great lady and I am so excited that Bailey will be in her class this year. We did not get a picture with the teacher because she was a very busy lady but one will be coming soon, I hope. Above is Bailey at her very own desk that she will have this year, it even had her name on it which really impressed her.

A picture outside the school.

Bailey and her Grandma Melton.

Family picture time.

And here she is Princess Bailey, no really she got this at the dentist. Can you believe that they are giving things like this away at the dentist these days. On top of that she has a bag full of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss. Well, she did deserve it, no cavities!

Sunday School Swim Party

We have a super awesome Sunday school class at church and we always get together at least once a month and do something. A few weeks ago just the adults went out to dinner while another Sunday school class at our church provided us with free childcare, awesome! Last weekend we had a swimming party with all the kiddos and we had a great time. The pool that we were at was something out of a magazine. It wasn't just a pool but an outdoor living space with a full kitchen, fireplace, and pool house. Above is Bailey with her friend Bella.

This is Shopia who will be two on September 16th. She and Campbell are very good friends.

Miss Campbell loves to go swimming and she has just started to float on her own, she's gettin so big.

Easy Bake Oven

Since Bailey's brithday and Chrsitmas fall with in 3 days of one another I usually put half of the presents up in her closet and then we pull them out during the year when she needs something new to play with. So the other night we brought out the easy bake oven. It was pretty "EASY" and Bailey had a great time doing it.

It's all mixed up and ready to bake.

Pushing it into the oven to cook.

The final product was a yellow cake with fudge icing, good job little chef!

Off To Church

It seems that I can never get pictures of the girls when they are freshly clean so I snapped these real quick in the church parking lot last Sunday.

Of course Miss Campbell is always on the go so this is the best shot I could get. She loves her strawberry wear!

USA Softball

At the end of July we took a girls trip to OKC to watch the Softball World Cup. The teams playing were USA, Japan, Australia, United Kingdom, and Canada. We had a great time watching the games. Bailey is fascinated by the Japan team. She loves the way they look and talk. I can only dream that I will be able to sit like she is in the picture above. She started getting kind of antsy, so I told her she could go sit down close. When I looked up this is what I saw, holy moly I can only dream of that flexibility one day.

My mom went with us. The two of us could sit and watch games all day long, but Bailey has a time limit. She did very well thru all the games and the heat, we had a great time.

We stayed in Bricktown even though it was way to hot to spend the day strolling outside. I had found this place online before we left and knew that I would have to take Bailey. I told her I had a surprise for her and didn't tell her where we were going. We went to a cupcake/candy store called Pinkitsle, I think that's how its spelled. It is a super fancy, fun, very girly candy store. Baileys face lit up like a lightbulb when she first walked in, it was awesome.

They also made the most awesome cupcakes. It was so fun to sit and have a little treat.

Bailey had lots of team USA spirit. She made her own poster to hold up during the game.

I had to show this picture because it is very amazing to me. This pitcher for USA is on her tippy toes. Every pitch she extends up very high and is on her toes, she was amazing

We also got to see the wounded soilders softball team. These soilders had lost limbs fighting for our country in Iraq. It was so amazing and inspirational to see all that they had overcome.

Sadly all good things come to an end, but we had a great weekend, a tradition I hope will continue for years and years to come.

Summer Vacation 2011

In mid July we took a very short 2 day vacation in Branson. We didn't do much, we tried to take it very easy, but with 2 kids that's always an illusion. We stayed at the Keeter Center at the College of the Ozarks, a working college. It was the best place we have ever stayed or eaten at in Branson, I highly recommend it. We went to the Branson Landing to see the water show but it was not working so Bailey got a tattoo instead.

It is very hard to pick just the right tattoo, I cant imagine the stress of choosing a real one, yikes!

Campbell had a great time walking around and checking everyone and everything out.

The final product.

A quick family photo after leaving the pool. Instead of paying $100 for all of us to get into White Water we decided that we would check out the Branson pool. We were very impressed, it was a great place to take the kids and it only cost us $14, yeah frugal!

Bailey loved wearing the hotel robes, she thought she was super stylish, as she calls it.

We really didn't do much other than the pool. We did go shopping at the outlet mall, can't go to Branson without going there. It was as if God was watching over me that day. Cami and I went to Tanger to shop, where she feel asleep and slept for 2 hours, that's a vacation in itself. Tim and Bailey had some bonding time at the go cart track, where they had a blast.

We had a huge balcony that we all loved to sit in and that Cami loved to look over at the ground below, so scary for momma.
