Busy Bee's

Things have been very busy at the Melton household these past few weeks. Here are a few cute pic's of the girls.

Someone loves the camera, who could it be?

I know I have said it a million times, but Campbell and Bailey love each other so much, Campbell just loves her big sister. I am so blessed to have had such a smooth transition from one child to two, Bailey has never had any issues and has always been a great big sister, I just pray they stay that way as they get older.

Happy Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day at the Melton's. Mommy did have to work but Bailey spent the night with mamaw B (Becky), so daddy and Campbell had a great bonding day that Tim really enjoyed since she slept all night and then took a 3 hour nap, awesome.

We went over to my folks for a cook out and swimming. We had a little scare at my parents. My mom went to open the grill and was engulfed in heat and smoke. It burnt some of her hair and her eyebrows are gone as well, no joke. She also lost about half of her eyelashes. She is ok, but it was pretty scary at first. We still don't know what caused it, but thankful it wasn't worse. I told her I would buy her an eyebrow pencil and she could get a prescription for Latiese to make her eyelashes grow thicker and fuller, she just laughed.

I love, love, love this picture. This was taken before we went to my folks house, Campbell LOVES her daddy so much, a big daddy's girl.

Softball World Series

Last Thursday we headed to OKC to the 2010 Softball College World Series.  There is an amazing softball complex there as well as the softball Hall of Fame Museum, the stadium is called The Hall of Fame Stadium.  Just Bailey, my mom, and I went, we had a great girls trip.  My mom and I love to go and watch the games and we are looking forward to going back at the end of July to watch the USA Olympic Team play Canada and Japan, yes I said Japan, I know that sounds weird but they are actually very good.  I have actually played  at this stadium, when I was a senior in high school we won the 6A High School State Softball Championship here.  The state championships are still held here every year.  When I was in college we stopped to practice here on our way to a tournament in Texas, it is a very nice stadium.

The series is on ESPN2 right now as well, the final 3 games are going on right now between Arizona and UCLA.  We were their for opening day and watched Hawaii and Missouri play.  I was excited to watch Hawaii  because they have some girls on their team that can hit the ball like no bodies business, and by that I mean out of the park.  They have broken several records this year and they were very impressive to watch, since they hit 2 out during this game, Missouri also had 1 hit out.  Bailey enjoyed it for the most part.  She was amazed to see the girls hit the ball the way they did and to watch the pitcher.  She wants to follow in her mommies foot steps and be a pitcher, and that is all her, I promise, I did not influence that decision. I also think she would make a great catcher or first baseman because of her size.

It had rained early that morning but it was hot when we got there for the noon game, so first order of business was a snowcone.  She then wanted a $5.00 cup of lemonade but I had to regulate a big no on that call.  We had some whinning episodes which drove me crazy since I probably watched half the game while dealing with her, but it was still a fun time.  We sat in the outfield bleachers, which were still great seats and Bailey enjoyed going down to the warm up area during the game to watch pitchers warm up.  She was amazed to see how fast they threw since all she has seen is 10 year olds at our ball fields, so it was a major difference.

We had a photo opp on our way out of the stadium. Bailey thought this big ball was really neat.

Another view of the field.

Bailey is so excited to play ball now, I think we will make this a yearly trip.  I think its awesome motivation to see that if you work hard she could be here one day to, it's all up to her.

They had a tee and if you hit balls you got a head band and she did great, people were surprised how well she hit, I just told them, she takes after her mother, lol!!

Cheerios

Campbell has started to snack on some Cheerios. Only a few are actually making it to her mouth right now, but she loves to play with them. As you can see from the picture above Shelby also loves that Campbell is eating Cheerios, because this means more snacks for her. She just sits and waits for them to hit the floor and she then turns into our vacuum cleaner.

Miss Campbell is also starting to love the camera. Everytime she sees me get it out lately she gets so excited and just starts smiling. It is the funniest thing how she knows what she's suppossed to do, perhaps we have a model in our future.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture. Those two little teeth just pop out right at you with that big huge smile, soooo cute!!!

I love to watch her try and pick up these small little objects, it's so precious to see how she is concentrating and focusing on picking them up. Her little fingers will move them around and try to grasp them, its so neat to see how they learn and grow.

8 MONTHS OLD

ON MAY 28, 2010 CAMPBELL TURNED 8 MONTHS OLD. SHE IS GROWING AND DISCOVERING SO MANY NEW THINGS. SHE HAS MADE MANY NEW DISCOVERIES THIS PAST MONTH BUT I THINK HER FAVORITE IS, YOUR MOUTH, SHE IS OBSESSED WITH THEM. AS WE SIT ON THE BED TO HAVE SOME QUITE TIME I WILL SING AND TALK TO HER AND SHE WILL LOOK AT MY MOUTH WITH SUCH INTEREST. THEN SHE WILL BEGIN TO TAKE HER HANDS AND FEEL ON MY LIPS. ALSO WHEN I HUM SHE JUST LOOKS AT ME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THAT SOUND IS COMING FROM, IT IS THE CUTEST THING. SHE IS SO SO HAPPY, ALWAYS SMILING AND LAUGHING. SHE LOVES HER DADDY SO MUCH AND NO MATTER HOW TIRED SHE IS SHE GETS SO EXCITED WHEN HE COMES HOME FROM WORK AND WALK IN THE DOOR.

MISS CAMPBELL NOW HAS TWO FULL TEETH, AND TRUST ME SHE KNOWS HOW TO USE THEM. SHE WILL TRY TO SNEAK YOUR FINGER INTO HER MOUTH, SHE IS SO CLEVER. SHE IS LOVING TO EAT, SHE GETS EXCITED WHEN SHE SEES FOOD COMING AND JUST SITS WITH HER MOUTH WIDE OPEN. SHE IS ABOUT 20 POUNDS AND 34 INCHES LONG. SHE IS WEARING 12-18 MONTH CLOTHES, YES I KNOW ITS ALL IN HER HEIGHT, CRAZINESS.

I SAVED THE VERY BEST FOR LAST. I THINK CAMPBELL'S FAVORITE DISCOVERY THIS MONTH IS THE SOUND OF HER VOICE, WELL HER SCREECHING SCREAM THAT IS. SHE WILL TALK AND TALK AND THEN LET OUT A FEW VERY LOUD YELLS, SHE THINKS IT'S FUNNY AND JUST SMILES. SHE HAS ALSO DISCOVERED THAT THIS WORKS WELL WHEN SHE WANTS ATTENTION AS WELL, SO SHE'S USING IT TO HER FULL ADVANTAGE.
