Hats, Smiles, and Snow

As most of you know it has been a crazy week in Oklahoma. We spent the first half of the week preparing for the winter storm and the second half enduring it. Thank goodness that it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be, but we were fully prepared for any blackouts. When you have no kids the powering going out doesn't seem like that big of a deal but add 2 kids in the mix and its total quaos. That is why all flashlights, candles, blankets and food was ready to go in case it occurred. Bailey has had a wonderful time playing in the snow and she is obsessed with all the big icicles, we have a collection in the freezer. Campbell is smiling all the time she is one happy baby. I am working on her 4 month post, look for it in the next few days. And as for hats Campbell is sporting her daddy's OU hat, I think I saw a bit of a frown when she first put it on, but we wont tell daddy. Tim's mom has been crocheting again, this time it hats. She is really getting good, I told her she needs to retire and go in business.

Mini Martha

Bailey did the sweetest thing today as I was making dinner she decided to set the table. Now she has set the table before, but today she took it to the Martha level. She did not want to have paper napkins, she wanted fabric ones, so she set the table with dishtowels. Then she was asking me how to spell Tim and mines name, so I asked her what she was doing and she proceeds to tell me how she's making cards so that everyone knows where their supposed to sit. I could not believe that she had any knowledge of table settings, or place cards. I'm 31 and never used or sat at a table with a place card, that's a bit sad now that I've actually typed that out. But moving on here are the pictures of the final product. I must say that I was very impressed. Bailey amazes me everyday with her knowledge and memory, I know she is going to be a very impressive young lady.

Our Week

We had a pretty basic week, nothing to exciting going on here. We did have our professional photo shoot on Wednesday, let me explain. For those of you that have been in my house there is, well lets be honest, a shrine to Bailey on the living room walls. The first year I had her pictures done at 3,6,9, and 12 months. And of course I had to take her to some fancy photographer. Her name is Karen and she has a studio called Images, and I just love her photographs. So I decided before Campbell was born that I would not be one of those mothers who did all this for the first child and not for the second, so that is why I decided to take her to the exact same photographer as Bailey. That way when their 18 and 13 and at each others throats they can never say I didn't do for them equally, even though I know that will back fire on me. So that was probably our highlight of the week, I know I know were wild and crazy here. Bailey and Campbell have started playing together and it is so precious to watch Bailey talk and sing to her. I have a sweet video I will post soon. So the highlight of the upcoming week will be softball sign ups. Bailey is going to play t-ball this year and I am so excited.
I love this picture because you can see she actually has a neck.

Check out the spikes of hair on this girl.

We love to sit in our saucer and play, she is starting to notice so many things.

I can only dream of having eyelashes like this.

Two sisters who love each other very much.

I think the smile says it all.

Crochet Madness

Tim's mom has crocheted Campbell several different hats and jackets so we had a little photo session and took some pictures today. She seemed to be having a really good time, I think she's starting to really like the camera.

Our Week

It was so cold this week so we were inside ALL WEEK LONG. Bailey did go to school for 2 days but all schools were closed Thursday and Friday due to the below zero temps. So mommy was starting to go a little crazy. I was really starting to look forward to going to work on Saturday until Bailey developed a stomach bug on Friday evening. I wont go into details but believe me it was awful. I ended up having to call the doctor at 11:30pm to get a script to stop the flood that arrived from both ends of the canal, if you know what I mean. So I went to work for 2 hours on Saturday and then spent the day with Bailey, Campbell was at my moms. I am happy to report that we are doing much better now, the canals have closed. Campbell is really starting to love playing on her jungle mat and sitting in her bumbo. She is still sleeping very well, we have had some nights that she slept from 11pm-9am, no joke it is wonderful. She has started to take naps in her crib during the day. She only sleeps for about 45 minutes but I hope that over time this will increase. I plan to keep her in our room for the first year. Her room is so far from ours and I just feel so much more comfortable having her right next to me. Bailey slept in her room at about 4 months but our bedrooms were right next to each other in the other house so I could hear everything and I could see her. This could all change I'm just being very protective for some reason. But the girls are doing great. This week I am taking Campbell to get 3 month pictures taken, so will see how it goes.

Campbell is starting to enjoy sitting in her bumbo, she sits in it for about 5 minutes a day right now. She is also starting to really move around on her play mat, check out the video below.

Talkin

Campbell has started making lots of noises lately. We were even able to capture a laugh on video, its so cute. She loves it when you rub the bottle on her gums, for some reason it makes her laugh and smile.
