Sunday Night Choir

Every Wednesday night Bailey goes to choir practice. This past Sunday they had a big performance that they put on. Bailey always talks about how she would like to be up on stage so tonight she got her big chance. She did such a great job.

Here she is before the show with some friends warming up, haha!!

I decided that if we sit in the front row that maybe we could keep Campbell's attention a little bit longer than 5 minutes. JACKPOT, we have a winner. She was great for the whole show. She loved all the singing and movements up on the stage. She decided that she would dance to all the songs so a shot from behind was the best picture I could get. She was dancin from side to side, throwin her hands up in the air and boppin up and down. It was the cutest thing ever.

I just had to show you a picture of Campbell's new smile. Whenever we tell her to smile or say cheese this is the precious face that we get.

Rooster Day Fun Run

This past weekend was Rooster Days, so we celebrated by being in the first ever Rooster Day Fun Run. We'll actually I should say Tim and the girls ran, while mommy had mommy time at some neighborhood garage sales with my mommy. Tim works alot and misses out on alot of the fun stuff that we do, so we thought it would be a good idea for him to do things like this with the girls so that they would create some memories together.

We'll it turns out they had a blast, even Campbell had a great time. The 7:30am start time was not the best but Bailey was up at 6:30am ready to run.

After the run they stayed to watch the parade. And what would possibly be the best thing that we could hand out to small children at 9:30 in the morning, well a Blue Bell ice cream sandwich of course. They were out handing out free sandwiches to the kids and as you can see from the picture Miss Campbell loved every minute of it.

Later in the day Bailey got herself all dressed up and she looked so cute we had to have a photo session. I cant believe how big she is getting. In 7 days she will no longer be my little kindergartner, but a first grader, man this year has flown by. Isn't she beautiful!

Happy Mother's Day 2011

We'll if this picture doesn't sum it all up for you I don't know what will. One kid throwing up gang signs, no sorry I think that means six, haha, and the other is picking her nose. Mother's Day just doesn't get any better than that. I decided to take these pictures at the end of a long day and as you can see it didn't really work to well. Bailey and I have the Oklahoma wind blown hairdo's going on and Campbell, well Campbell is just being herself. She has recently discovered her nose and she has also discovered that her finger will fit up there, and the best part is yet to come. You guessed it, she has learned that her finger will pull things out of her nose that she will then proceed to put in her mouth, isn't that awesome!!

We'll we did have a great mother's day at the Melton's. Saturday evening I received a card that plays music, which Campbell loves and some beautiful flowers. And then out of no where Bailey says that she wants to do the dishes, so I showed her right where to go and she and daddy cleaned the kitchen for me. I was in heaven.

We had a great day together as a family and we then went over t my moms for a family cookout. I decided that I wanted to get my mom something that we could do together that we have both never done before, so we will be going to get facials in the coming weeks so I will keep you posted on that. Thank you guys for everything I love you lots. I am so lucky to have such a great husband who is always looking out for me, I love you Tim. And thank you Bailey and Campbell, the best daughters any mommy could ever have, I love you!

Check out the stud above, how lucky am I? How does he get those muscles so big?

Garage Sale Saturday

Not only does Bailey love softball, which makes me grin from ear to ear, but she also loves garage sales. Yes, you heard me right she loves to get up early and go bargain hunting with her mommy. She looks so cute with her little purse filled with all the money she has been saving in her penny bank. She never gets tired and is always eager to find another sale. She will always point out signs to, and it is amazing what people will give away for free to a cute little girl.

This past Saturday we spent sometime together going to a neighborhood sale and this was her favorite find. It did cost me $5 but that was after I got the lady down from $10. Bailey insisted that she needed this dance costume, it was a very nice costume that some girl had worn at a dance recital. Bailey recently has taken to lip singing and dancing, so she insisted that she needed a "special outfit" in order to do this.

I have to say she looked very cute in it and she wore it for the rest of the day. She had a great time posing for the camera as you can see.
The other great buy she got was for $1.00 and she is quite proud of this. It is the doll that you see below lying next to Bailey. No, that is not a person its actually a doll that is the size of Bailey and as long as Bailey. Last night she decided that she wanted to sleep on our floor so in she came with her doll, who she named Bailey, and they were asleep within 5minutes, awesome.

Yes, We're Still Alive

I know that many of you are probably in shock right now, I know I haven't posted in quite a few months. We are still alive, and honestly it's amazing that I haven't lost my mind in the recent months and been committed. On second thought that might actually be like a vacation, and Lord knows I need one of those. Literally we have something going on almost every single day. Bailey went from basketball to softball and between practice and games we were spending 3-5 days a week practicing or playing games. I have loved every minute of it, but when your the only parent home in the evening and you take an 18 month old to a ballgame at 8:00 at night, I think you get the idea. Chasing Campbell around the softball field and trying to watch Baileys game at the same time is multi-tasking at the max. I do have to say a big thank you to my mom, there are times that I would not make it thru if it were not for her. And since she's the official softball scorekeeper she actually gets to watch the game. Even though Tim is working later hours we are thankful that for the time being the Honda business has been doing very well. We have also become very involved in our church over the last few months. We are there Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. Bailey has joined choir and we have a really great Sunday school class that we get together with allot. So with all that going on by 10:30pm, my average time that I usually sit down in the evenings, I am exhausted. I never watch tv anymore and I can hardly keep my eyes open long enough to watch the one soap opera that I do record, Days of Our Lives, which Tim likes and watches with me, hehe!!!
But I am loving my new job and things have been going great.

There was recently an art show at one of the Broken Arrow Community centers. It was a collection of art that was selected from students all over Broke Arrow grades K-12. It was then displayed for everyone to see, and one of Baileys many masterpieces was chosen for this show. In case any of you don't know Bailey loves art. She loves to draw, color, and paint. She takes special art classes after school and I am really impressed with some of the things she makes. This picture was called "Starry Night."

Miss Campbell is growing like a weed. She is gabbering away and is so much fun. Even though we haven't made any posts we have been journaling all the things she has been doing and will update you all soon. Her hair has gotten crazy long and has the cutest curls in the back. She loves raisins and devours them in seconds. She is just precious, with a few scary moments mixed in, haha!!

The girls still get along great. Cami lights up when she sees Bailey after school, it is so sweet to see them run to each other and hug.

Bailey is turning into a beautiful young lady. She has a great heart and is talented at so many things. It makes me so happy to see that she is becoming so well rounded. She loves art, and sports, she is doing awesome in school and is a great student, she loves playing cops and robbers with all her boy cousins, and then turns around at the end of the day and wants me to paint her toenails and buy her dresses, I love it, and I love her even more.
