The Morning Before Blake

We spent the last few hours before Blake's arrival getting all the last minute things done.  Daddy putting together the swing and all the other 3 million baby accessories that one needs!  We were all so excited that the day had finally come!

The girls got to stay home from school and came to the hospital with us so that they could enjoy all that was going on that day.  I hope that this day will be something that will remember forever.  Bailey is 9 so I think that she will be able to retain these memories and Campbell is 4 so she will hopefully have a few as well.

Me and the girls right before we are loading in the car to head to the hospital.

I was very nervous at this point.  After having 3 C-sections I know what to expect and in some cases that can be a bad thing.  I was so ready to meet Blake and hold him in my arms that any pain would be well worth it!  And were off to the hospital!!

27 Weeks and High Blood Pressure

So I don't normally take pictures of myself while pregnant.  I'm not sure why, I just never have.  I decided to take this one at 27 weeks, when I was at a point that I looked pregnant, even to strangers!
I have had a normal pregnancy until this point.  I have felt great and the pregnancy has really flown by for me since I have Bailey-9 and Campbell-4 to look after.  Bailey has kept us busy with softball and basketball and Campbell is my little sidekick at all these events, her time is coming soon.  At around the 27-28 week mark the doctor started becoming concerned about my blood pressure.  It seemed to become higher and higher with each visit and they had warned me that I needed to start slowing down.  At 35 weeks everything came to a halt when the doctor decided to put me on bed rest.  She had sent me to the hospital for monitoring and they discovered that I had a small abruption.  It was clotting over but this combined with my high blood pressure made for a bad situation.  I did what the doctors had asked and at 38 weeks they decided that it was time for Blake to make his debut.

Suprise Baby Shower!

A few months before Blake was due my co-workers gave me a surprise baby shower.  It had been planned for some time and then I decided to take that particular day off from work so I was asked to come in from my friend Melissa.  Once I got there she informed me of her plan so I had to throw the surprise face in for everyone's amusement!

I was very surprised at what they had put together, it was very sweet!  We have a lot of people in our office that travel so they had selected this day when everyone would be in and be able to make it to the shower, even the guys had a good time!  They had a super cute blue duck theme with cake from Merritt's, my favorite and blue punch, very tasty!  They also presented me with a gift card for all the things baby Blake will need.

A few of my co-workers, they are a great bunch of people to work with.  They have all been super excited for us and very helpful throughout my pregnancy.  They have come for visits and meals after Blake was born.  I have been working at Farm Credit for 3.5 years at this point and I am so thankful to be apart of this office.

OU Softball Camp

Bailey LOVES softball!  She says it is her most favorite thing to do.  She will tell me first thing in the morning that she wants to go pitch and catch fly balls.  I, of course love it, and pray that it is something that she sticks with for along time to come.  In January we took her to a winter softball camp at OU.  It was held in the football practice arena right next to the stadium.  It was huge!  Even though she is only nine I want Bailey to see what she can do with her sport if she wants to.  It may not be a scholarship to a Division 1 school, but a full scholarship at any school is an accomplishment.  She practices very hard with team practice twice a week, a pitching lesson on Wednesday and a hitting lesson on Friday and then we cruise into the weekend with a tournament.  Most would think that its a lot but Bailey loves it.  We have talks about things and I remind her that she can tall me when things are to much for her, but she always tells me that she loves softball and doesn't want to miss anything.

 More pitching, love this picture!

OU won the 2013 College World Series and Jessica Schultz was a big part of that team.  She was a senior catcher who had many out of the park home runs, Bailey was very excited to meet her and get her autograph.  We cant wait for softball season to start in March!

Welcome 2014-Bailey Turns 9!

We welcomed 2014 with the celebration of Bailey's 9th birthday.  It's hard to believe this sweet adorable little girl is growing up before my very eyes.  She is such a smart and funny girl and I love spending all the time that I can with her.  She is in the 3rd grade this year and is such an awesome student.  She is always amazing me with how easily school comes to her.  She is a great kid and she is growing into a beautiful young lady.  I am so excited to see what the future has in store for her.

Bailey wanted to have her party at an indoor trampoline park called SkyZone.  It was super fun and all the girls had a great time!  First we started the night off with a trip  to CiCi's pizza.

Bailey from church and Kyliegh from softball.

Makeyla and Sydney, friends from school.

Bailey loves rainbows and anything with bright colors so the cake fit her perfectly.

The girls had a great time!  After SkyZone they watched movies, and devoured 6 bags of popcorn, yes 6!!  They finally passed out about 1:30am and of course awoke as the sun came up.
